Operations Manager and Quality Assurance Consultant (Seafood, Meat)

As Produco’s Operations Manager, Gavin Kouwenhoven plays a key role in ensuring projects run smoothly from initial client contact through to successful delivery. Working closely with both clients and consultants, he helps coordinate projects, provide operational support, and contributes directly to client engagements where his expertise can add value.

With a strong background in food manufacturing and operations management, Gavin brings extensive practical experience across seafood, red meat, and poultry processing environments. Having managed food production facilities and developed, modified, and implemented Risk Management Programmes (RMPs), he understands the challenges businesses face when balancing regulatory requirements with day-to-day operations.

Gavin’s strength lies in finding practical, workable solutions that help businesses meet compliance obligations without compromising operational efficiency. Drawing on years of hands-on industry experience, he provides valuable insights that bridge the gap between regulatory expectations and real-world implementation, helping businesses achieve compliance in ways that are sustainable and effective.

Known for being responsive, adaptable, and solutions-focused, Gavin believes in under-promising and over-delivering. He enjoys helping clients navigate complex regulatory requirements and takes pride in finding practical pathways to compliance that support long-term business success.

Outside of work, Gavin enjoys getting lost in a good detective or adventure novel and can often be found social Tango dancing. His practical mindset, industry knowledge, and commitment to helping others make him a valued member of the Produco team.
